Abstract
Adaptive linearizing control algorithms for fermentation processes are proposed. They are valid in continuous as well as in discrete time. The design is based on non linear state space models which are linearly parameterized. The convergence of the proposed algorithms is analysed in the discrete tme case. Two practical examples (anaerobic digestion and ethanolic fermentation) are used to illustrate the approach.
