Abstract :
Analysis, conducted on the flapper-nozzle stage of a two-stage electrohydraulic controller, shows that calculated equilibrium control pressures, stage gain, and frequency response characteristics agree closely with values obtained experimentally. The analysis applies to any general flapper-nozzle combination, and flow-pressure equations and flapper dynamic properties are recorded.
