Abstract
The problem of designing active control schemes for flutter suppression in flexible aircraft is discussed in this paper. Based on a well-posed state-space formulation we present an abstract framework to study approximation techniques for the active flutter control of an airfoil with flap in two-dimensional unsteady flow of an inviscid, incompressible fluid.
