Abstract
Majorant bounding techniques which appear in the work of Dahlquist and several researchers in large-scale systems analysis have recently been applied to develop robust stability and performance results for linear time-invariant systems with structured uncertainty. Previous results in majorant robustness analysis allow the performance to be measured in terms of the steady state variances of selected variables and in terms of the frequency-dependent behavior of the systems outputs. This paper considers linear discrete-time systems and measures performance in terms of the time-dependent behavior of the system outputs. For this class of systems majorant bounding techniques are used to develop robust performance bounds and sufficient conditions for robust stability.
