Abstract :
The use of an automated microcentrifuge and flow injection analyser is described for the measurement on-line of the solubility profiles and the resultant fractionation diagram for the purification by salting-out of enzymes from a microbial cell homogenate. The use of this system is demonstrated for the on-line control of the fractional precipitation of alcohol dehydrogenase from a clarified yeast homogenate using ammonium sulphate.
