Abstract :
The robust stability problem is studied for multivariable feedback systems. The method is based on eigenvalue inclusion regions and a hybrid approach is presentd utilizing both singular value decopositon and numerical range concepts. The robust stability tests yield more accurate results since the process uncertainty descriptions make use of both the magnitude and the phase information in an attempt to obtain less conservative estimates of process uncertainty.
