Abstract :
This paper focuses on applications of expert systems in the power industry, i.e. energy production and transmission. Some on-going research projects in Imatran Voima Oy (IVO) are described as examples. Furthermore, the concept of an Expert Center for Condition Monitoring is described as a remote-diagnostics center which offers condition monitoring experts intelligent tools for decision making.
