Abstract
In this paper, we examine the controller design of the F-14 pitch axis control problem. We modify the system block diagram by using two instead of the original four controllers. The quantitative feedback theory (QFT) is then used to design the robust controllers. Simulations show that the angle-of-attack and pitch rate step responses of the designed system under the linearized plant parameter variations satisfy the design specifications.
