Abstract :
In this paper an observer is discussed, which estimates the state vectors of the system given as: X¿ = A(¿) X(t-¿)+ Bu(t-¿) + Dv(t-¿) A technique "Auxiliary System - Cancel - Tedious Terms" is proposed, which is used to deal with both unknown inputs and time delay problems, simultaneously. A "Sourcing Auxiliary System" is provided for this purpose. When the output of the designed observer is fed back to the input of the given system, it is shown that the observer equation can be transformed to a standard regulator equation, thus the well-developed parameter optimization technique could be used to reduce the sensitivities.
