Abstract
Synthesis of full authority flight vehicle autopilots using feedback linearisation has been previously discussed in the literature. The main concern expressed regarding the use of feedback linearization theory for flight control system design has been the issue of the controller stability and performance under modeling inaccuracies and disturbances. This paper advances a method based on differential game theory for non-linear autopilot synthesis under these conditions. The proposed approach closely parallels the linear theory.
