Atonomous Control System Design

This paper discussed the development of a prototype expert system that is able to design a lead-lag compensator based on given specifications. The paper focused on the implementation of such a system which is named CDES (Controller Design Expert System). It was written in Xiplus, and interfaced with Matlab which was used to feedback the performance to Xiplus. The paper involved designing the architecture of the expert system knowledge base, dividing works between Xiplus, Matlab and formulating rules for satisfactory compensator design.
