Abstract
In this paper we introduce the Naval Research Laboratory´s RESHAPE satellite control facility. This facility Provides a novel, practical bridge between theoretical control Studies and on-orbit performance of satellite systems in that test platform possesses three frictionless rotational degrees of freedom, an on-board data acquisition and digital control system, and a telemetry link to an off-board desktop computer for realtime monitoring. Gyros and reaction wheels provide three-axis platform sensing and actuation. preliminary experimental results demonstrate the practicality and potential of the facility.
