Abstract :
The present contribution briefly describes the application of a class of partial differential equations in the analysis, prediction and control of some aspects of coastal profiles evolution in the "medium term" period (order of years). Their potential use and practical justification lays mainly in engineering purposes which ask for the evaluation of the effects and the effectiveness of human interventions.
