Abstract :
Explicit constraints on the compensator are derived which provide specified levels of closed loop tracking and disturbance rejection performance. In the case of lightly damped plants, simple geometric descriptions of compensator constraints are obtained. An example of the application of these constraints in active vibration isolation is provided.
