Abstract :
The stabilization of linear systems subject to possibly fast time varying uncertainties using linear feedback control is analyzed. Based on the earlier developed method of computing the upperbound of uncertainty size allowed for retaining quadratic stability, this paper develops a scheme to design a stabilizing output feedback control. For a comparable design, an earlier algorithm requires a three level iteration, two of which are to search extrema and the other is a bisection searching. The approach developed in this paper will eliminate the bisection process and bring the other two optimization processes to the same level, thus can drastically reduce the computational costs.
