Abstract
This paper shows that the cascade connection of a thyristor inverter and a magnetic frequency multiplier produces an output power at frequency 50 kHz. In this power supply, a thyristor inverter generates 5.6 kHz square wave voltages of three phases and the nine times frequency voltage of a single phase is changed by a magnetic frequency multiplier. The multiplier is the passive device which requires nine saturated reactors with supermalloy core. We have built the 50 kHz power supply and investigated its operating characteristics.
