Abstract
Highly efficient and small-sized power-feeder for a submarine optical transmission system (FS-400M) has been developed by NTT. This paper describes new developments incorporated into the existing power-feeder. A series resonant constant current converter, a common control method for stabilizing the output current of each converter, and a new load sharing method for equalizing the power-feeder output voltages are applied to the power-feeder. This paper also describes characteristics of the engineering model.
