Abstract
During the past six or seven years, telecommunications companies, P & T administrations and manufacturers of power supply equipment have shown great interest in the development of hybrid power systems which combine converters using renewable sources or random characteristics (wind and solar) with fuel operated generators. Among these hybrid systems, applications where Closed Cycle Vapor Turbogenerator is the back-up power source have been used widely where enhanced reliability is desired. This paper presents the experience accumulated over the past several years with this category of hybrid system.
