Abstract :
In this paper we consider the problem of detecting a non-Gaussian signal in white Gaussian noise. We make a low energy coherence (LEC) assumption and derive receiver structures and performance bounds. We apply some of our results to the detection of spread spectrum or digitally modulated signals in white Gaussian noise.
