Abstract
The performance of DS/DPSK spread spectrum signaling in the presence of multiple interfering tones is evaluated. The cases considered include those in which the period of the spreading sequence period is much larger than the bit time. Balanced Gold code spreading is assumed. The performance when the spreading sequence period is equal to the bit time shows typical sensitivites to system assumptions, and these sensitivities are explained. Signal to noise ratios, signal to interference power ratios, and interferer frequencies which permit reasonable performance are presented, along with combinations which result in poor performance.
