Abstract :
This paper presents the latest hardware and application technologies on high-power high-frequency switching-mode step-up-down dc-dc converters by recent high-speed thyristors, which are basically concerned with capacitive energy-or inductive energy-conditioning and processing and their control strategies. New quick-response dc-dc power converters proposed conveniently are effectively suitable for large-capacity telecommunication energy processing system and solar energy processing plant and so forth. The practical capacitive energy storage types and inductive energy storage types of high-power switching-mode dc-dc converters by high-frequency switching techniques are concretely demonstrated by experimental model equipments and discussed from some comparative studies between dc-dc converters mentioned above.
