Abstract
On the condition that the aperture and the element number of the array are given and the array is azimuthally symmetric required, using high-performance micro-genetic optimum algorithm, the radius of each circle subarray of the sparse concentric multi-circular array is optimised to reduce the sidelobe level (SLL) of the array pattern. Computer simulations show the SLLs of the optimised 7-arm concentric circular array and the optimised 5-arm concentric circular array have been improved greatly compared to the proportional spacing condition and the angle ambiguities have not been generated.
