Abstract
For time and frequency, precision oscillators play a key role in today´s spread spectrum and secure transmission techniques, whether for communications or navigation. Along with this technology arises the need to know time and frequency to a high degree of accuracy and to transfer it to many user locations. This paper explores these technologies and how they interact to enhance the signal media which make sophisticated communication systems possible.
