Abstract :
In this paper, the performance of double-binary turbo coded time hopping-pulse position modulation ultra wide band (TH-PPM UWB) systems with multiple receive antennas is analyzed in a modified Saleh and Valenzuela (SV) model. Because the UWB channel is highly time scattered and a transmit waveform´s power is limited to low level, a data signal is distorted by channel error. Thus, we apply the double-binary turbo code to the UWB systems with multiple receive antennas. From the simulation results, the double-binary turbo coded signaling scheme improves the bit error rate performance.
