Abstract :
The hello protocol using a periodical HELLO packet broadcast is a fundamental protocol for neighbor discovery in wire and wireless networks. It explicitly doesn´t take into account the loss of HELLO packet caused by interferences and collisions in the link layer. The loss of HELLO packet results in three problems: unidirectional link, the subset of neighbors and inaccuracy of neighbors. To solve the problems two RRND (reactive and reliable neighbor discovery) protocols are proposed.
