Abstract :
BcN means a next generation convergence network, on which QoS guaranteed broadband multimedia services, which converge telecommunications, broadcasting and internet, can be safely and seamlessly provided everywhere, anytime. BcN will be a definite foundation on the road to $30,000 GDP/capita in Korea as the common infrastructure for the new growth engines of the IT industries, such as IPTV, 4G mobile communication, etc. Korea will establish BcN by 2010 that provides quality services at the speed of 50 to 100Mbps to 35 million fixed and wireless subscribers. In this paper, we study on the outcome of the BcN projects and the future plan of BcN.
