Abstract :
The realistic modeling of soft tissue will not only improve current medical simulation systems; it will considerably enlarge the set of applications and the credibility of medical simulations. In order to achieve realistic tissue deformation modeling, considering the nonlinear stress-strain relationship or in a more precise statement the strain-hardening characteristic of different soft tissue types is essential. In this paper, we represent the achieved analytic expression predicting the Young modulus alterations in a soft biological tissue due to applied force in terms of some tissue´s specifications and in the case of nonlinear stress-strain relationship. This model is achieved base on analytic solution of 2D elasticity problem for a circular homogeneous inclusion attached to a homogeneous infinite medium in the case of a plane-strain state and under no assumption for soft tissue characteristics.
