Abstract :
With increasing worldwide emphasis on reducing CO2 emissions, many distribution utilities are beginning to review strategies to reduce their indirect emissions due to network losses. This paper outlines several approaches which can be considered, and analyses their effectiveness in a small sub-transmission and distribution network. It appears that significant reductions in these indirect emissions can be achieved.
