Abstract :
A new isolated gate driver for IGBT´s is introduced which features low cost, small size and high immunity to dv/dt transients. It has short propagation delays and creates near optimum gate drive waveforms with a negative gate bias in the off state. It incorporates a single two-winding transformer for isolation and requires no secondary side power supply.
