Abstract
The high level design validation of networked systems is mandatory to guarantee the dependability levels that automotive reliability impose in many safety-critical applications. In this paper we present an environment to study how soft errors affecting the memory elements of network nodes in LIN (local interconnect network) based systems may alter the dynamic behavior of vehicle. The vehicle´s motion directly influences the lighting direction of AFS (adaptive front-lighting system), and the effect of the vehicle dynamics on the swiveling headlamp can be simulated.
