Abstract
Ad-hoc network is an infrastructureless network consisting of mobile nodes. So, the energy consumption of the interfaces can be significant. Reducing transmission power reduces the number of nodes reached but consumes less energy. The author propose a communication mechanism based on local beam search to organize the nodes of a single cluster in a tree leveled given a determined distance to each other.
