Abstract
We propose an on-demand associativity-based multipath source routing protocol for MANETs which can establish relatively stable path(s) between a communicating pair of end nodes. We use a new notion for gauging the temporal and spatial stability of nodes and hence the paths interconnecting them. The paths thus discovered are easier to maintain and are suitable for QoS provisioning. The protocol reduces end-to-end delays resulting in better QoS provisioning and data communication performance. The proposed mechanism is compared with DSDV, AODV and AOMDV.
