Abstract :
A positioning algorithm based on two satellites is presented in the paper. The algorithm is tested with several groups of received GPS data and its performance is analyzed. The location result is solved by Newton Iterative Method, using the full rank equation groups which are constituted by choosing two groups of received GPS data. The positioning performance is respectively analyzed in three situations differentiated on how many satellites both measures are to appear. The damping Newton method is attempted to improve the accuracy of this algorithm.
