Abstract :
This paper will discuss five relationships of higher engineering education. Among them, teaching, research and social services are the three major functions of the higher engineering universities; professional education and humanities education, ability education and knowledge education, theoretical teaching and practical teaching are the goals of higher engineering education; development of education and development of national economy and regional economy involves the interaction between higher engineering universities and society. Furthermore, the five main parts are students,teachers, universities, employers and government. The driving force of the various interest of higher engineering education is analyzed thoroughly on the higher angle for guiding and enlightening the future development of China higher engineering education.
