Abstract :
Prediction query performance (PQP) has been recognized by the IR (Information Retrieval) community as an important capability for IR systems. This paper put forward pseudo prediction query performance in the base of analyzing PQP. The authors design a new IR method. The experiment adopted testing data of TREC Web Track shows the method can improve the effectiveness of query.
