Abstract :
This paper discusses the needs of the portlets´ semantic interoperability. It shows the drawbacks of current specifications of portlets such as JSR168 and WSRP. The paper suggests using ontology to support semantic interoperability of portlets. It proposes a scheme of ontology as a remote portlet service to illustrate the semantic interoperability of portlets.
