Abstract :
Satcom on the move respectively communication on the move for remote satellite terminals in traditional C/Ku/Ka band depends mainly on two aspects: the antenna-subsystem with all the requirements and basic conditions needed for such an application, and the corresponding modem with all the discussion about optimized modulation schemes, performance and synchronisation behaviour. In this paper a closer look to the synchronisation and re-synchronisation behaviour in case of or after loss of line-of-sight to the satellite should be done, based on ND SatCom´s modem SkyWAN, to gather more information about a stable or fast re-synchronized 2-way connectivity via satellite von SOTM/COTM applications.
