Abstract :
This paper characterizes the antenna placement effects in car to car communication channels. With a three-dimensional ray tracing simulation tool the narrow- and wideband channel characteristics are determined for various antenna positions and two typical motorway scenarios. The results show that the channel characteristics can be optimized by selecting the suitable antenna position.
