  • Abstract
This paper describes the design of a multiple spot beam satellite antenna with overlapping beams in Ka-band. It has been designed in the frame of the DLR granted R&D program ldquoMedusardquo. We discuss the principle of a multiple feeds per beam (MFB) antenna in comparison to a classical single feed per beam (SFB) antenna. Results for the optimisation of antenna and feed network are given.
