Abstract :
A passive array radiator has been proposed in a single layer configuration to form an adaptive integrated antenna that consists of the inset feed rectangular microstrip patches and the reactance varying control RF circuit. The reactance varying RF circuit part is designed in a folded line configuration such that it does not contribute to the spurious radiation of the antenna. The antenna has been designed at 5.06 GHz for a reasonable beam steering performance.
