Abstract
A design concept for a planar antenna array for Global Positioning System (GPS) applications is presented in this paper. A 4-element wideband circularly polarized array, which utilizes multi-layer microstrip patch antenna technology, was successfully designed and tested. The design achieves a very low axial ratio performance without compromising fabrication simplicity and overall antenna performance.
