Abstract :
Development of typical resource-exhausted cities is influenced by exhausted resources and degraded environment. An assessment index system of ecosystem health in typical resource-exhausted cities based on pressure-state-response model is set up and indices classification standards are regulated. Improved entropy method is applied to assign weights to the indices and fuzzy synthetic assessment method is used to assess ecosystem health levels of the nine typical resource-exhausted cities in China. The result shows that in the nine cities, except Fuxin, ecosystem health levels of four cities are critically healthy and the other four cities are relatively unhealthy or unhealthy. Ecosystem health conditions of typical resource-exhausted cities are severe.
