Abstract :
This paper presents the methods of dynamic monitoring and prediction model of land use change and their application in Changsha county. Firstly, with the support of remote sense and geographic information system, the land use of Changsha county was categorized into five types. Then growth degree index was introduced to analyze the dynamic evolution process of land use change. Markov model was used in this paper to construct the transition probability of land use change based on 1991 and 2004 land use map interpreted from TM imageries, and then the 2017 land use state was simulated. At last, balanced state of land use in Changsha county was obtained.
