  • Abstract
    A design of a miniaturized Wilkinson power divider with higher order harmonic suppression is presented in this article. The slow wave effect and stop band produced by a shunt open-stub is utilized to miniaturize the occupying area and suppress higher order harmonics to improve the performance of divider in EMI environment, respectively. Design guidelines are provided using a loss less transmission line model. A full-wave electromagnetic simulator IE3D is used to validate the design approach. A prototype power divider that occupies 31.34% area of that of a conventional coupler is designed. The main advantage of the present design is its compactness and in addition to that a wide range suppression of third to eighth harmonics is achieved by at least 15 dB.
