Abstract :
This technical paper ldquofast transient high voltage pulse radiating system for vulnerability studies of NEMP on electronic systemsrdquo consist of R&D work done to develop fast rise time high voltage impulse generator with associated sub-assemblies such as peaking circuit, TEM Horn antenna etc; to generate very high intensity electromagnetic pulse of extremely fast rise time. In this technical paper, the authors explained in detail about the design of high voltage impulse generator (Marx generator), peaking circuit and TEM Horn and their hardware realization. It also contains test results of various stages. The photographs of different stages of realization were also included in support of this work.
