Abstract :
The open and decentralized nature of P2P network makes it vulnerable to fake content distribution and free riding. Also, searching schemes used to locate files in unstructured P2P networks have poor scalability. The goal of this paper is to introduce an efficient yet high quality search for unstructured P2P network that minimizes fake file download by trust management and topology adaptation. Essence of our approach is that peers who have mutual trust and share files of similar interest adapt topology to build an overlay network of trustworthy peers, known as trust aware community, on the top of existing P2P network. This approach increases search efficiency as most of the queries can be resolved within the community and reduces in authentic download as query is disseminated preferably through trusted neighbors at each hop.
