Abstract :
The Avian Influenza has been more than 120 years since it broke out in Italy in 1878. It made many countries suffer a lot. It becomes very important to research the cause of the Avian Influenza and its features. There are many approaches to study the Avian Influenza virus (AIV). Among these methods the Z curve is a very useful method for visualizing and analyzing DNA sequences. This paper picks up some DNA sequences of the AIV H5N1 (HA) from the NCBI database, which root in same hosts--chicken but occurred in Thailand, Laos, Israel, Vietnam, India and Egypt, respectively, in 2008. Based on the Z Curve Theory, we draw Z-curves and analyze them, then calculate the base content, respectively. The results show that the corresponding Z curves of the sequences have some special geometrical features. It proves the aberrance or evolution of H5N1 (HA) relates with different areas closely.
