Abstract
Gene-gene interaction analyses have been used to identify common disease susceptibility genes. Recently, evidence of a statistical interaction among several SNPs has been reported in Crohn´s disease. This paper explores the application of apriori-gen algorithm on the association study in Crohn´s disease. The Apriori-Gen algorithm has been applied to SNP data of Crohn´s disease for association study. The result shows the interaction among 5 SNPs with support of 50% and confidence of 60%. The relative risk RR and odds ratio OR are 1.98 and 2.59, respectively. The experiment results indicate that the interaction among those SNPs is responsible for the disease.
