Abstract :
Most protocols wireless sensor network use the shortest path (distance), the minimal energy or a kind of combination of both as their key component. However, due to some energy or security restrictions, a node might be constrained to backward data to farther nodes instead of forwarding data to an intermediate node located between the source node and the destination. This work investigates on the effect of this ineluctable parameter on major routing protocols. We propose an alternative solution for this problem for LEACH and ARPEES protocols.
