  • Abstract
    Submarine cable communication networks are huge, multidimensional and evolving and their planning, management and maintenance becomes much more complicated. Traditional 2D method is not intuitive enough. Based on BS Contact 3D interactive graphics component the 3DGIS application system SunriseVRGIS has been developed for the planning, management and analysis of submarine cable installation. It can implement fundamental functions such as prophasic planning, 3D visual management and fault location of submarine cable to satisfy the essential requirements of submarine cable installation planning, management and analysis.
